iPhone 14 Max leaks show the phone’s design

Apple will unveil four new iPhones in the second half of the year for the third consecutive year. However, the iPhone 14 lineup is getting a significant change. The mini size that Apple introduced with the iPhone 12 series is going away in favor of a cheaper version of the Pro Max size. That’s the so-called 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, which appeared in a couple of new leaks that seem to confirm its design.

vivo will launch X80 series on April 25

Video: Vivo

The vivo X80 phones finally got a date for their official announcement. Alongside a teaser that showcases the vivo X80 Pro+ design the company revealed its next flagships are coming on April 25.

The vivo X80 Pro+ will stick to its quad-cam setup where one of the shooters has a periscope lens, but the arrangement is different – it is, in fact, in line with the vivo X Note and vivo X Fold rear design.

Rumors say the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, but we are also expecting a vivo X80 Pro with Dimensity 9000 and a vanilla vivo X80.

We’ll likely see more teasers in the coming, adding more pieces to the puzzle.

After 3 years of hiatus, Xiaomi made a comeback to the Android tablet segment with the Xiaomi Pad 5 series launch last year. Originally exclusive to China, the tablet arrived in Europe in September. And now, nearly nine months later, Xiaomi is finally ready to launch its flagship tablet in India.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar (via 91Mobiles,) Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Xiaomi Pad 5 in India. The tablet will reportedly launch alongside the Xiaomi 12 Pro on April 27. Xiaomi hasn’t made any official revelation about a tablet launch. However, Brar does have a good track record when it comes to leaks about Indian product launches and events, so we won’t be surprised if this leak turns out to be accurate.

Samsung could be planning a phone with a rollable, transparent display

Image: Future

We know that Samsung is exploring the idea of phones with rollable displays – it’s already teased the technology – but it looks as though transparent screens could also be in the mix for future handsets, according to newly uncovered documents.

SamMobile has spotted an application Samsung has made to the WIPO – the World Intellectual Property Organization – which outlines a handset that not only features a rollable display but also has a transparent section embedded in said screen.

Two different designs are included in the application, but they both illustrate a section of the phone screen that extends from the main display, and which is see-through. It looks as though the opaqueness of this extended section will be adjustable too.

This is our first look at what Twitter’s edit button might look like

Twitter’s edit button is coming, whether Elon Musk is buying the company or not — that much was made clear in an official announcement a few weeks ago. While we already got a teaser of how the button itself will look like on iOS, we haven’t seen exactly what the workflow will be like. That’s changing courtesy of renowned Twitter sleuths Alessandro Paluzzi and Nima Owji, who uncovered parts of the workflow in the web version of the social network.

As shown off in a screenshot, Paluzzi was able to activate a hidden editor for an existing tweet. It looks almost identical to the regular tweet editor save for a small tweak. The “tweet” button at the bottom right corner is replaced with one that says “update.” Paluzzi also showed off what the edit button will look like in an existing tweet’s context menu, where it’s aptly named “Edit Tweet.” While Paluzzi was able to pull up the interface, it’s unlikely that he is actually able to change his tweets retroactively just yet.

Three Chinese astronauts, also known as taikonauts, safely returned to Earth yesterday after spending six months aboard China’s unfinished Tiangong space station, according to a report from Space.com. This is China’s second crewed mission to Tiangong and its longest so far.

The Shenzhou 13 spacecraft landed in the Inner Mongolia desert at 9:56AM local time on Saturday morning after departing from the space station’s core Tianhe module about nine hours prior. The crew took off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi desert last October and spent a total of 183 days on the space station.

This mission is China’s longest. In addition, taikonaut Wang Yaping made history as the first Chinese woman to visit the Tianhe space station and also became the first Chinese woman to conduct a spacewalk. Wang was accompanied by crewmate Ye Guangfu and commander Zhai Zhigang. The trio carried out a total of two spacewalks, performed various tests around the station, and held two live lectures for students watching from Earth.
