Over the last year, Motorola has launched a series of devices that absolutely dominate the sub-$300 smartphone market. But Samsung wants a piece of the pie. Its latest device, called the Galaxy A13 5G, costs just $250 but features 5G connectivity, a 90Hz display, and of course, Samsung camera technology.

I have to compare this device to Motorola’s upcoming Moto G Power because, in all honesty, they’re very similar phones. They both run on a 5,000mAh battery, feature a 6.5-inch 720p display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and feature a 50MP main camera, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor.

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE could still cost you $700 when it launches in January

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition (FE), an affordable flagship that was supposed to make its debut earlier this year, but was a casualty of the ongoing chip shortage. Now, a new report from WinFuture’s Roland Quandt claims that the phone will cost $700 upon release.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is a cheaper version of the S21 in the same vein as the S20 FE Samsung revealed last year. Essentially, it’s a phone that takes the essence of the S21, strips away all the superfluous parts, and delivers a flagship experience for less money. You’d think the vanilla S21 already filled in that role, but Samsung may have found a way to go even cheaper.

It’s been a bit over six months now since the launch of the vivo V21 5G, and that means its successor is almost ready to appear on the scene. According to a new rumor, this will be called V23 5G and is due to be launched in India at some point this month.

The vivo V23 5G could feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. It should come with an upgraded SoC and better camera features compared to its predecessor, the V21 5G. Otherwise, not much is known about it.

In the meantime, the vivo V23e 5G launched in Thailand last month, right after the 4G V23e made its debut in Vietnam. The Indian launch is rumored to also incorporate a vivo V23 Pro, while the V23e in either of its iterations may make an appearance in the subcontinent too.

Rumors earlier this year said that Google might unveil three new devices in 2021: the Pixel 6 series, the first-gen Pixel Fold, and the first-gen Pixel Watch. Google only released the Pixel 6 in stores without acknowledging the foldable and wearable devices it’s been developing behind closed doors. But Google is still working on the Pixel Fold and Pixel Watch, with a new report offering more details about the latter. If everything goes according to plan, the Pixel Watch’s release date might be closer than ever.

Intel Eager to Avoid Clashes With Apple As It Looks to Secure TSMC’s 3nm Chip Supply

Image: Apple

Intel is looking to develop a closer relationship with TSMC, Apple’s largest and most important chip supplier, to avoid possible clashes with the Cupertino tech giant over TSMC’s 3nm chip production, according to DigiTimes.
Yesterday, we reported on TSMC beginning pilot production of its 3nm process that will eventually be used in future Apple silicon Macs. Apple currently uses a 5nm process in its latest iPhones, Macs, and iPads.

Ahead of Apple’s adoption of the smaller chip process in its products, Intel is now trying to establish a clear relationship with TSMC to ensure the Taiwan supplier will fulfill its orders for a rumored upcoming 3nm GPU, without conflicting with Apple’s orders.
