Motorola unveiled the Moto G31, Moto G51 5G, and Moto G71 5G last November. The first two are already available in India, starting at INR12,999 ($175/€155) and INR14,999 ($200/€175), respectively. And today, Motorola announced the Moto G71 5G will make its debut in the Asian country next week – on January 10.

While Motorola hasn’t revealed the Moto G71 5G’s India price yet, the company said that the smartphone will be sold through Flipkart and have two color options – green and blue.

That said, since the Moto G71 5G is already official, we know what’s on offer. The smartphone’s powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC and will be India’s first phone to have the Snapdragon 695 chip at the helm.

Vivo Y21T launched in India – specs, price and availability

Image: Vivo

Vivo today added another sub-Rs.20,000 handset to its repertoire in India with the launch of the Vivo Y21T, barely days after it debuted in Indonesia. This mid-ranger from the Chinese phone maker could be part of a Y-series refresh that the company has initiated in recent times.

Readers would recall that there were reports around the Vivo Y75 before we began hearing of the Vivo Y21T, which appears to be an upgraded version of the Vivo Y21 that rolled out globally in August 2021. The company had unveiled the device as a successor to its Vivo Y20 that launched in August 2020.  Barely five months later they brought the Vivo Y20A as a cheaper version of the earlier device.

Given that most of these handsets fall in the mid-tier affordable handset category, the specifications and features have remained constant for most part, barring some tweaks around the cameras.

The company first unveiled the Oppo A16K in November 2021 in the Philippines, and now, according to a tipster, the smartphone is expected to arrive soon in India — most likely by the first or second week of January.

The A16K is expected to have a 6.52-inch LCD display with 269 ppi (pixels per inch) of resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is relatively lightweight at 175 grams, and comes in three colors — blue, black, and white. It’ll have a teardrop display, similar to the Samsung Galaxy M21, and come with version 11.1 of ColorOS, which is based on Android 11.

AMD confirms key features of Ryzen 6000 processors ahead of CES keynote

AMD’s CES 2022 keynote is tomorrow, but the company has already confirmed its name and some key features ahead of the event.

However, the CTA (Consumer Tech Association) will be announcing its CES 2022 Innovation Awards, and the new Ryzen 6000 mobile processors have been named an honoree.

That does confirm that these Ryzen 6000 processors will be a primary discussion point in tomorrow’s keynote. The name itself isn’t too surprising, but given AMD’s history of skipping numbers, we could never be 100% sure what the next-gen CPUs would be called.

More than that, the award includes the confirmation of a number of key features of these new chips. First off, they will include RDNA2 integrated graphics. This is the same architecture that powers the graphics in the Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, and Radeon 6000 graphics cards.

TP-Link’s new Wi-Fi 6E router features motorized self-adjusting antennas

Video: TP Link

TP-Link makes a yearly habit of trotting out new routers at CES 2022, and this year, that crop is headlined by a high-powered Wi-Fi 6E model with motorized, self-adjusting antennas. I’ll be honest here, I’m really resisting the urge to call it a robo-router.

More specifically, it’s the TP-Link Archer AXE200 Omni, an AXE11000 router capable of connecting devices on the 2.4 and 5GHz bands as well as the new, Wi-Fi 6E-exclusive 6GHz band. With more than twice as much bandwidth as the 5GHz band and no interference from previous-gen Wi-Fi devices, that 6GHz band is being positioned as the latest Wi-Fi upgrade, though our initial tests show that 6GHz range is more limited than 5GHz, particularly with respect to uploads. There also aren’t very many Wi-Fi 6E client devices at this point capable of putting the 6GHz band to use.

We can see from the promo image that the cover display will come with a punch-hole for the selfie camera, while the main camera setup on the back will feature three units. There’s also a dual-LED flash and some light and PDAF sensors.

JBL unveils yet another trio of true wireless earbuds at CES 2022

Image: Future

JBL has entered 2022 in the same way it left 2021 – by announcing three new pairs of mid-range true wireless earbuds.

Having already unveiled the JBL Reflect Flow Pro, JBL Tune 230NC and JBL Tune 130NC in September of last year, the audiomaker took to the floor at CES 2022 to lift the lid on its latest in-ear offerings: the JBL Live Pro 2, JBL Live Free 2 and JBL Reflect Aero.

Like their 2021 counterparts, these new wireless earbuds are all relatively inexpensive, too. The JBL Live Pro 2, Live Free 2 and Reflect Aero will all retail for $149.95 (around £113 / AU$210), and are set to hit shelves in “spring 2022” (that’s between March and June, for our readers in the Southern Hemisphere).

Mercedes-Benz’s New Concept EV Puts Every Other Carmaker to Shame

Mercedes-Benz unveiled its Vision EQXX concept vehicle during a virtual presentation at CES 2022, and yeah, this thing lives up to the hype. Not only does the EQXX feature an obscene 648-mile range, but it’s the most efficient EV ever made—it can travel over 60 miles (around 100 kilometers) using just 10kWh of energy.

For reference, 10kWh of home electrical usage costs around $12 in most parts of the United States. It’s about as much electricity you’d use to run an A/C unit for three hours. And if a fairy godmother came down and turned the Vision EQXX into a gas guzzler, it would have an insane 235 MPG fuel efficiency.

Apple became the first US company to be valued at over $3tn on Monday as the tech company continued its phenomenal share price growth, tripling in value in under four years.

A pandemic-era surge in tech stocks has driven the major US tech companies to new highs, pulling US stock markets with them. Apple became the world’s first trillion dollar company in August 2018, passed $2tn in 2020 and hit its new high as trading began after the holidays and its shares passed $182.80 a piece before dipping lower to end the day valued at over $2.9tn.
