iQOO recently told us that it will launch the iQOO 9T in India by the end of this month with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The company hasn’t divulged anything else about it yet, but key specs of the iQOO 9T have surfaced, telling us what to expect from the smartphone.

The source claims that the iQOO 9T will come with a “segment first 120Hz E5 AMOLED display” and support 120W charging. It will also have the V1+ chip onboard that we saw on the vivo X80 Pro, and the camera system on the rear will be headlined by a 50MP GN5 camera we had on the iQOO 9 Pro. But this time, it will come with Real-Time Night Extreme Night Vision, which sounds like a real-time night mode.

A high-end Apple Watch using better materials could arrive in 2022

Image: XDA

There is a pretty good chance that we are getting a new Apple Watch this year. Apple has updated its watch yearly since the release of the first one back in 2015. While there have been several different versions, it looks like Apple Watch Series 8 could see a new entry in its lineup — one that is focused on extreme sports athletes.

According to Bloomberg, the new Apple Watch geared towards extreme athletes could arrive with a larger display and bigger battery. But what’s new is that it could offer better protection from physical wear due to its improved materials and design. Apple could adopt a flatter look, which has been rumored for years. The new watch is expected to use a stronger metal than the aluminum or stainless steel found on the current models. It will also have a stronger screen that is more resistant to impacts.

Samsung may move away from more affordable phones due to inflation, analysts warn

Image: Android Police

Samsung is expected to launch its latest set of flagship foldable smartphones this year, the Galaxy Z Fold4 and the Galaxy Z Flip4. The flagship phones are expected to land on August 10, although there is no official confirmation yet. Industry insiders have now suggested that the company is planning to reduce sales for its Galaxy A and Galaxy S series to focus on its upcoming foldable phones instead (via Android Headlines).

Samsung will soon train its sights on maximizing sales for the Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 to compete for a greater share of the smartphone market against the likes of Apple. Tech analysts have explained that since inflation tends to have a greater impact on lower-priced phones than their costlier counterparts, increased sales of premium-priced phones like foldables may aid the company in recovering its losses.
