Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra could debut with a Sony sensor instead of a Samsung sensor
New leaks suggest that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra flagship phone could come with a new Sony camera sensor and may ditch the Samsung camera sensor found on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.
The latest information by Digital Chat Station on Weibo (via GSMArena), suggests that the Mi 12 Ultra could come with a circular camera module. Not only the camera module is changing for this year’s model, but the phone will also introduce a new Sony IMX8xx camera sensor. To recall, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra used the Samsung ISOCELL sensor.
Moreover, the leakster also shared a couple of images of the Mi 12 Ultra in black and white colors, confirming the back design of the phone. As of now, rumors have stated that the device will pack a triple camera setup with a 50MP main, a 48MP 5x telephoto, and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 coming to India on March 17 with a 6nm Snapdragon chip and 50MP dual camera
Xiaomi’s Redmi introduced the Redmi Note 11 Pro, Note 11 Pro+ 5G, and Watch 2 Lite in India yesterday, but it isn’t done for the month yet since the company today announced it will launch the Redmi 10 in India on March 17.
However, the Redmi 10 coming to India next week isn’t the one that was unveiled last August or in February this year (called Redmi 10 2022) with the Helio G88 SoC. We are looking at an entirely new smartphone.
Redmi hasn’t detailed the Redmi 10 Indian model’s specs sheet yet, but the company did give us a glimpse of its design and reveal some features. For starters, the Indian Redmi 10 will be powered by a 6nm Snapdragon chip and sport a notched display instead of one with a centered punch hole.
The smartphone also has a textured back cover with a smudge-free finish, and it sports a square-ish island now, housing flash and two cameras. The primary camera uses a 50MP sensor, and the secondary unit could just be a depth sensor.

Geekbench results show iPhone SE 3 has similar performance as the iPhone 13, features 4GB of RAM
Before the release of the iPhone SE 3 next week, an early Geekbench score shows that this new phone has a similar performance to the iPhone 13. Not only that but both smartphones share 4GB of RAM.
The Geekbench test is a benchmark tool for comparing the performance of smartphones and other devices. The “iPhone14,6” (which is the iPhone SE 3 internal identifier) scored 1695 in a single-core while it scored 4021 in a multi-core test.
For reference, the iPhone 13 mini has a 1686 single-core score and a 4489 multi-core score. That said, the Geekbench test shows that both phones feature 4GB of RAM, which is an improvement compared with the iPhone SE 2020, which featured 3GB of RAM.
That said, these scores make us believe that the GPU from the A15 Bionic chip on the iPhone SE 3 is the same as the one available on the iPhone 13 line, which features four cores. The iPhone 13 Pro, on the other hand, has an extra core for the GPU as well as more RAM.

Galaxy S22 throttling fix is out – here’s how it works
The update will let users enable a performance mode that will not throttle the CPU and GPU in games. However, there will also be a game performance management mode that users will have to deal with. It’s unclear what this is. But we still expect some form of throttling to happen on the Galaxy S22 even after the fix is applied. That’s because the phone will still have to prevent overheating during extended gaming sessions.
While it’s great to see Samsung fix this big Galaxy S22 throttling controversy, it’s unclear when the update will roll out in international markets. Moreover, the GOS problem might also impact older Samsung hardware, like the Galaxy S21 and previous-gen flagships. Those phones will need updates of their own.

Google and Apple suspends app store billing in Russia
Google is suspending billing on its mobile app store, Play, and pausing payment-based services for YouTube users in Russia — blaming “payment system disruption” related to Western sanctions on Russian banks.
According to the Russia-based site, it is now impossible for users to add funds to their App Store or iTunes Store accounts using regional bank cards issued by Russian banks including Alfa-Bank, Sber, and Tinkoff.
Under normal circumstances, Apple users would still be able to buy Apple gift cards to top up their Apple ID account. However, iPhones.ru is also reporting that users are having problems with this mode of funding as well.
It’s not clear whether the issue is a result of action by Apple, Russian banks, or the Russian government. If confirmed however, as it stands, users in Russia seemingly now have no way to make purchases in the App Store or the iTunes Store.
