Latest Galaxy Z Fold 4 leak pins down storage offerings, ‘Burgundy Red’ color option

Image: @onleaks

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 is probably only a month away, and a fresh leak is giving us a better idea of what to expect from the storage, as well as revealing a “Burgundy Red” color option.

Evan Blass today posted a list of Galaxy Z Fold 4 variants that break down the color and storage offerings for Samsung’s upcoming phone.

This list confirms two things. Firstly, it seems the 1TB storage option we previously heard of may not be available after all. Blass’s list shows 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB versions of the Fold 4. It was previously rumored that a 1TB model would also be on the way, but this list implies that won’t be the case. Of course, it’s entirely possible this is a regional restriction – while Blass doesn’t mention it, it seems safe to assume this list is regarding the US market.

Kuo: Only iPhone 15 Pro Max to get a periscope zoom lens next year

Image: Oppo

We’re some two months away from Apple’s expected iPhone 14 launch event, but we already think we know everything there is to know about the upcoming four handsets. Apple’s 2022 iPhone lineup will deliver the biggest differentiation between the non-Pro devices and the iPhone 14 Pro models. But the most expensive handsets will not get the telephoto lens upgrade some people expected. The first periscope zoom camera should hit the iPhone 15 series next year, but only the Pro Max model will get it.

Let’s start with the Galaxy M13 as the more “affordable” model. It comes with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display rated at FHD+ resolution with a 480-nit peak brightness. A Gorilla Glass 5 coating should help protect the screen too.

We’ve seen iPhone 14 Pro renders before, based on simple CAD models and schematics, but now you can play with a 3D model, examining the Pro and Pro Max models from any angle.

CAD creator Madmix has used the same schematic to create 3D models which can be viewed in a number of popular design apps …

DuanRui, who seeks out Apple-related content on Chinese social media sites, provides some sample renders (below). But if you use a compatible design app, you can create your own renders from any angle.

Twitter’s Down, But the World’s Still Spinning

Glassy-eyed Twitter addicts on Thursday morning were shocked to find the site down and out of commission.

Reports of Twitter outages on the tracking site Down Detector appeared in the minutes before 8 a.m. Eastern time, right as much of the U.S.’ East coat worse force logged on for work. Outage reports quickly skyrocketed, topping over 54,000 by the time of writing.

The outage appears limited to Twitter. Down Detector noted some incremental outages across other sites but Twitter stood alone with its sharp and sudden rise of reports. In an emailed statement, a Twitter spokesperson told Gizmodo they are looking into the situation. At around 9 a.m. EST, Gizmodo staff based in the U.K. and some on the East Coast said they were successfully able to access the site. Around 10 minutes later, Twitter released a statement acknowledging the issue and said it was working to get the site back up for everyone. Presumably, users without access to the site were unable to see that message.
