Motorola Moto G22 spotted on Geekbench with Helio P35 SoC
As Motorola gears up to introduce the Moto G Stylus 2022, a Geekbench listing suggests that the company may announce another handset alongside it – the Moto G22. Obviously, an entry level smartphone it’s powered by a dated Helio P35 chipset.
The benchmark also confirms 4GB of RAM and Android 11. The latter is rather disappointing given that Android 12 has been out since September 2021.
Then again, the device is still in the works so there’s still a chance its OS might change prior to the launch.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S launch teased
We’ve been hearing about an upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S for some time now through multiple certifications listings but the official Redmi India account gave an official tease for the phone. We can spot a quad camera setup that is rumored to feature a 108MP main shooter.
The auxiliary modules are expected to include 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cams. Other rumors suggest a MediaTek chipset at the helm. The recent FCC certification listings confirmed the phone boots MIUI 13 out the box and comes in 6/64GB, 6/128GB and 8/128GB trims..

See the Moto G Stylus 2022 from all angles in latest renders
The Moto G Stylus 2022 is expected to launch pretty soon, but there’s hardly any detail not uncovered already — if recent leaks are anything to go by. We’ve seen renders showing off the device before, but the latest gives us a more detailed look at the phone.
The new render reveals all aspects of the incoming Moto G Stylus in a not-before-seen gold color (per 91Mobile). The top of the device is shown housing a secondary microphone, while the bottom contains a USB Type-C port, stylus holder, speaker grille, and primary microphone. Looking at the sides, we see a volume rocker and a power button embedded with a fingerprint sensor on the right, and a SIM-tray slot on the left. The front and back of the phone are consistent with previous renders, showing a centered selfie punch-hole cutout with chunky bezels front-wise and a rectangular module (housing three lenses and an LED flash) and Moto logo on the rear.

Samsung may soon launch more mid-range 5G smartphones in India
While India doesn’t have any 5G networks yet, Samsung has launched at least a dozen 5G smartphones in the country over the past year. Half of those were mid-range devices. It looks like the company will continue to launch more midrange 5G smartphones.
Three new Samsung smartphones, bearing model numbers SM-A336E/DS, SM-A536E/DS, and SM-M336BU/DS, were spotted in the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) database. Going by these model numbers, we expect these phones to be named Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, and the Galaxy M33 5G. All of them feature dual-SIM card slots.

Nvidia’s RTX 3050 GPU might be easier to buy than the RTX 3060 or RTX 3060 Ti
The Nvidia RTX 3050 desktop graphics card might have a better supply than previous ‘budget-friendly’ GPU launches, at least according to the Chinese tech website Board Channels.
As reported by Videocardz, this could mean that there’s more available stock to go around than there was for other Nvidia Ampere cards like the RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti, with the original post headlined as “it is rumored that NV (Nvidia) has relevantly sufficient supply for the first batch of RTX 3050 series”.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 will go on sale on January 27, 2022, with prices starting at $249 (about £185 / AU$350), but aftermarket cards will likely cost upwards of $300 / £230 / AU$420.

It’s not just Wordle, the App Store is a total mess
I think for millions of users, that statement is kind of a joke. The App Store is absolutely rife with scam apps, knockoffs, deceptive and exploitive subscription fees, and fake reviews that prop it all up. You need to look no further than this week’s Wordle kerfuffle for an example.
The problems are obvious to anyone familiar with the App Store and broader app ecosystem, but perhaps less obvious to the casual user. And that’s worse—that’s why iPhone users are getting hoodwinked into downloading apps that aren’t what they think they are and paying monthly subscription fees for trash that often doesn’t work.
It doesn’t have to be this way, and it’s way past time for Apple to clean house.

Google Meet rolls out live translated captions on web and mobile
Google Meet has started testing a new feature that could improve meetings for teams that collaborate globally.
Starting now, Workspace users can beta test the new live caption translations, which takes Google’s accessibility feature to the next level with auto-translation across languages.
For those included in the beta test, the feature can be accessed by navigating to the three-dot “More” button, settings icon, and Captions. Captions will need to first be enabled and set to English, after which users can enable “translated captions” and select the language.
