The company teased its dual-circle design previously, and today it revealed the entirety of its design – a mix between the Honor 50 and Redmi K40 looks with one camera in each big circle and one extra shooter in between them on the oval island. The LED flash will be on the side.

Honor is once again going for stand-out aesthetics since it is a brand, trying to appeal to youthful consumers. The starry design on the back is likely to come with some glamour and sparkle.

We will know all the specs in eight days’ time, but we expect Honor to keep giving us bits and pieces until then.

Sony may start selling custom PS5 faceplates after securing a new patent

Image: Sony

Sony has been granted a new patent for its PS5 faceplates, which suggests we could see official custom PlayStation 5 faceplates being sold in the future.

The United States Trademark Office granted the patent which is titled ‘Cover For Electronic Device’ on November 16. While the patent name might be a bit vague, the 11 sketches included show what is undoubtedly the PS5’s faceplates in all their curvy glory.

The patent doesn’t include any information regarding specific colors, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Sony offer its own black PS5 faceplates, as those have proven the most popular with consumers who aren’t fans of the stock matte white plates.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch4 gives Wear OS a huge popularity boost

Image: Android Police

Prior to the highly anticipated Wear OS 3 relaunch, Google’s platform was not doing too well due to its poor user experience, performance issues, and sub-par battery life. Samsung’s Tizen OS was also going nowhere primarily due to the lack of third-party apps, despite a compelling smartwatch product range and feature set.

Realizing their shortcomings, Google and Samsung teamed up to create and launch the all-new Wear OS 3 platform running on the Galaxy Watch4, and the strategy seems to be working. Counterpoint Research claims that Samsung achieved its highest quarterly smartwatch shipments in Q3 2021, all thanks to the Galaxy Watch 4 series.

Polestar is bringing its electric Precept sedan to market in 2024 with a new name

Image: Kirsten Korosec

The Polestar Precept sedan — the concept vehicle turned production project — has a new name and an official launch date. The company, the electric performance brand that spun out from Volvo Car Group, has dubbed the shark-nosed sedan Polestar 5 and announced it will go into production in 2024.

When Polestar first revealed the Precept in early 2020 it was viewed as a mere concept car, albeit a striking one meant to signal where this new company was headed. By September that same year, Polestar announced the Precept would be headed to production. At the time, Polestar didn’t indicate when that might happen beyond a vague sometime “before 2025.

Airtel & Vodafone Idea raise prepaid tariffs in India by up to 25%

Airtel & Vodafone Idea raise prepaid tariffs in India by up to 25%

Calling and mobile data tariffs in India dropped significantly after Reliance Jio entered the telecom sector in 2016. Since then, the three biggest players in the industry — Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea, and Bharti Airtel — have tried to one-up each other by offering cheaper plans to attract more subscribers. Although that has been great for consumers, the price war hasn’t worked out well for two of the three carriers. As a result, Airtel and Vodafone Idea are now raising the prepaid tariffs by up to 25 percent.

According to a recent Mint report, Bharti Airtel on Monday raised its entry-level voice tariff plan by about 25 percent to ₹99 and increased tariffs for most unlimited voice bundles by 20 percent. With this change, Airtel aims to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) to ₹200 and eventually to ₹300 “to provide a reasonable return on capital that allows for a financially healthy business model.” Airtels updated tariff plans will go into effect on November 26.

Why NASA Really, Really Wants to Slam a Spacecraft Into an Asteroid

NASA IS ABOUT to launch a craft designed to crash itself directly into a hurtling space rock at 15,000 mph.

If weather cooperates, NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test mission, known as DART, will blast off early Wednesday morning atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket at Vandenberg Space Force Base, northwest of Santa Barbara, California. DART will target a small near-Earth asteroid called Dimorphos, which is orbiting a much larger asteroid. Next fall, after a journey of some 6.8 million miles, the craft will smash into Dimorphos and slightly change the rock’s trajectory. It’s a test of what could be done to save the world from an asteroid on a potentially deadly collision course with us, to prevent the kind of planetary catastrophe envisioned in movies like Armageddon and Deep Impact.
